VIVACE radiofrequency microneedling

Have you ever wondered how some celebrities maintain such tight skin on their bodies, even after undergoing dramatic changes in weight, even pregnancy? The simple answer is radiofrequency microneedling (RF).

This therapy is so effective that it is actually replacing many laser technologies. In fact, the versatility of radiofrequency allows it to be used on both the face and body to treat the following:

  • acne scarring

  • stretch mark reduction

  • noninvasive face lifts

  • anti-aging preventative skin tightening

  • "mommy makeover" skin tightening

  • skin tightening after weight loss

How does it work?

We use the Vivace device for all of our RF microneedling procedures. When the pins of this device enter the skin, they transmit radiofrequency energy through multiple levels of the skin. Through this process, the skin receives both a controlled physical injury, (as you do with all microneedling devices), plus the added effect of heat. This dual effect in multiple layers of the skin creates dramatic collagen production and skin tightening.

Why is RF microneedling safer than lasers?

The epidermis is very prone to pigmentation problems if not protected. Knowing this, we prefer RF microneedling which uses coated needles that protect the top layer of skin (epidermis) from heat injury. As a result, our process eliminates the risk of pigmentation or discoloration. Lasers, however, cannot avoid the top layer of skin. This is why laser treatments are riskier for tan or dark skin. RF microneedling, on the other hand, is safe and effective for any skin color.

What areas can you target with RF Microneedling?

Virtually anywhere. The most popular areas to treat are the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, face, and neck.

Cutting Edge Advantages of RF Microneedling:

  • No downtime. 1-12 hours of redness total.

  • Little to no pain at all.

  • 15-30 minute procedure time

  • Most patients see results after 1 treatment.
